Delete your PRISTAZ account

This page is for PRISTAZ, the app published on Google Play and the App Store by PRISTAZ. Use it to ask us to delete your account and the data attached to it.

How to request deletion

  1. 1. Email us from the address on your account

Send a message to support@pristaz.com with the subject Delete my account. Sending from the address on the account is how we know the request is really yours.

  2. 2. We confirm it is you

We reply to that address. We will not act on a deletion request we cannot tie to the account holder.

  3. 3. The account is deleted within 30 days

Usually much sooner. We tell you when it is done, and what was kept, if anything.

You can also ask us to delete only part of your data without closing the account. Say which part in the same email.

What is deleted

Your account and sign in details, your name, email address, phone number and the addresses you entered, your vehicle details, any messages you sent through the app, any job you posted or quoted on that did not go ahead, and your profile as a customer or a detailer.

What is kept, and for how long

We would rather tell you this plainly than have you find out later.

  • Job records and invoices

Seven years from the date of the job. Australian tax law requires records of a transaction to be kept, and a completed job is a transaction between a customer and a detailer.

  • Reviews you left on other people

Kept, with your name removed. A review is about the other party, and deleting it would rewrite their history rather than yours.

  • The photo record of a completed job

Seven years, for the same reason as the invoice. It is the evidence behind what was charged and what condition the vehicle was in.

Anything kept is stripped of what identifies you wherever it can be. Nothing retained is used to contact you or to market anything, and it is deleted when the period above runs out.

The full detail of what we collect and why is in the privacy policy. If you are not happy with how we handle a privacy request you can take it to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
