Two kinds of number on this page
The registration counts are real. They are the people who have actually signed up, and nothing else is counted in them. The detailers a city could carry is an estimate, built from published population and vehicle ownership figures plus our own assumptions about how often cars get detailed. Open the working on any result and you can see every input, including the ones we have not finalised.
